Story behind the necklace medallion Detroit Lions pick Jameson Williams wore at NFL Draft

By: Brett Greenberg

TUSCALOOSA, AL. - Former Alabama football receiver Jameson Williams turned heads on the 2022 NFL Draft red carpet Thursday night with a bold red suit, red-and-white Louis Vuitton x Virgil Abloh limited-edition shoes along with a matching silver-encrusted grill, watch and large chain.

Williams was the second Crimson Tide player to be selected in the first round, joining offensive tackle Evan Neal, who was selected by the New York Giants with the seventh overall pick. The Detroit Lions selected Williams with the No. 12 pick.

A closer look at the chain reveals diamond-encrusted letters S and G, which stands for Skully Gang, a brand Williams has promoted over social media during his time at the Alabama.

Williams said this about the chain and its meaning: "The chain is really just an SG on top of the world. Taking over the world pretty soon," he said with a laugh.

Here is a closer look at Williams' shoes:

Williams took to Instagram following his selection to the Lions to introduce his Skully Gang collection:

Williams noted a link to purchase items from his collection will be available on his Instagram bio soon.
