TUSCALOOSA, AL. - Former Alabama football receiver Agiye Hall announced he is transferring to Texas. He put out the news Tuesday on his Twitter account.

Hall is the second player this offseason to reunite former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian, how head coach of the Longhorns. Hall joins tight end Jahleel Billingsley, who also transferred to Texas. Former Alabama linebacker Ben Davis transferred to Texas last offseason.

Hall posted photos of himself in Texas gear along with the caption, "it's an new sheriff in town #hookem." A graphic said Hall is "committed."

The fifth-ranked receiver in the class of 2021 as a four-star recruit per 247Sports.com, Hall announced his intentions to enter the NCAA transfer portal on April 7 following reports of his name being removed from the official Alabama football roster two days prior.

On April 6, Alabama coach Nick Saban addressed Hall's situation.

"He is suspended from the team for violations of some team rules, whether they're academic or whatever, it doesn't really matter," Saban said. "Everybody has a responsibility and an obligation to respect the principles and values and do what they need to do. They're all there to help them be more successful. To respect those and do those is always really helpful."

Hall responded with a tweet with the caption "news to me," but deleted it.

Hall showed promise in the 2021 A-Day Game, but totaled just 72 yards on four reception in 78 total snaps on seven games last season.
