TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Team captains Rashad Bennett (#32) and Ryan Jensen (#15) and the rest of the men's wheelchair squad look to add two more wins to their record when they take on Ft. Lauderdale on Friday night and ABC Medical Saturday afternoon.

The team has not played in over two weeks but has worked on multiple aspects of the game before this weekend's matchups.

Bennett and Jensen have emphasized to the rest of the team that this weekend will be an opportunity to show Coach Burns, Coach Burttram and all of the fans the improvements the team has made with the extended time off.

Player to Watch: Lindy Bridges #3 (Graduate Student)

Look out for graduate student, Lindy Bridges, to break out in a big way this weekend. This is Bridges third year on the team and he looks to finally be getting enough playing time to make an impact for Coach Burttram.

Bridges is a player who has been waiting to break out and did just that in the 2018 National Championship tournament. Bridges went seven of ten from the field in the tournament, proving his knockdown ability from nearly anywhere on the court.

“Lindy has only played basketball for about four and a half years now, but he’s our leading scorer so far this year,” said Ryan Jensen, graduate student team captain.

Schedule:

Friday February 28th- 6:45 PM vs. Ft. Lauderdale

AND

Saturday February 29th- 4:00 PM vs. ABC Medical

*ALL GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AT STRAN-HARDIN ARENA (410 Peter Bryce Boulevard, Tuscaloosa AL. 35401)*
