Alabama softball coach Patrick Murphy honored the passing of Alabama basketball superfan Luke "Fluff" Ratliff on Saturday by wearing a plaid blazer to the home-plate meeting before the Crimson Tide's game against Texas A&M, which is televised on the SEC Network.
Ratliff died Friday at 23. He was a student supporter of the UA basketball team and the program's most visible fan.

Murphy spoke on "Fluff" pregame.
Alabama athletics director Greg Byrne also showed his support for the Ratliff and his family on his Twitter account, posting, "Fluff brought a positive attitude & energy to everything & everyone around him." Byrne said the school will find an appropriate way to honor Ratliff.
Other coaches, players and college basketball personalities have gone to Twitter to show support for the Ratliff family.
